We’ve been working with the Community Relations Council over the past couple months to look at how they could deliver their much-loved annual Good Relations Week in the current climate.
Ordinarily, this involves dozens of community groups and organisations, hundreds of events and of course, thousands of people, right across Northern Ireland.
So this week we’ve been excited to announce that Good Relations Week is going virtual for 2020. It will run from 14-21 September and it will bring a dynamic programme of community relations events and digital content to a new virtual audience online – hopefully an even bigger audience than ever before!
The theme for the free online showcase is ‘Celebrating Our Journey, Embracing Our Future’ celebrating the efforts of people and communities in tackling sectarianism and racism and promoting cultural diversity in Northern Ireland.
This is a big year for the Community Relations Council as they’re celebrating 30 years of investment in outstanding community relations work. They’re determined to deliver an online experience that will bring the magic of Good Relations Week into people’s everyday lives – and we’re excited to be alongside them for this innovative new approach.
